Polystyrene, rubber
Hanimex buysTurnbull group

                            Hanimex Corp Ltd intends to enter the
                            polystyrene products and rubber products
                            fields with acquisition of the capitals of
                            the Turnbull group of companies.

Consideration

                            will be 5549,975, payable over a five year
                            period.

The companies being acquired are Turnbull Holdings Pty Ltd, M. D. Turnbull Distributors Pty Ltd, M. D. Turnbull Engineering Pty Ltd, Turnbull Rubber Pty Ltd, and South Pacific Surf Boards Pty Ltd.

They make and distribute such products as surfboards, drink coolers, portable icc boxes and a wide range of polystyrene products for both industrial and consumer uses.

They
                                  also make rubber products like
                                  swimming flippers, face masks, sp??
                                  fishing equipment, rubber thongs and
                                  semi-pneumatic tyres.

LIFE-SAVING TEST GOES TO AUSTRALIANS

The

                                      Australian surf
                                      life-saving team, unbeaten so far
                                      in its South African tour, won the
                                      third Test against its hosts by 96
                                      points to 63 yesterday.

A large crowd watched the Australian cruise to victory in perfect surfing conditions at this coastal resort on the Indian Ocean 40 miles south of Durban.

Australian captain Barry Rodgers had a field day, winning the surf swim, surfboard, surf team race and iron man events — the last from team-mate Dennis Heusner, who has beaten Rodgers twice recently in this event.

The single ski race was won by Bill Proctor of Australia, while the Australians also won the rescue and resuscitation easily with 7.5 errors against South
