By M. LANDON REED "ALOHA! Aloha!" came faintly over the water, as our great ship crept slowly into the harbour of Honolulu by the light of the stars. Soon we saw tiny lights bobbing up and down on the waves, revealing as they drew nearer a group of native youths and maidens who had come out to greet us and place around our necks the leis, or wreaths, with which they welcome strangers. |
