This copy of Waverly Shire By-Laws, circa
1890, with hand written annotations, includes By-law 25 that prohibits
bathing between 8 am and 6 pm in Bondi Bay, Nelson Bay and Little Nelson
Bay.
Offenders could be arrested by police
officers and brought before two or more Justices of the Peace. Penalities
were not more than two pounds and not less than ten shillings.
