DESIGN HISTORY
The rounded pin was in wide use, softening the classic pintail gun template.
Flyers, or wings as they were known in the USA, were first used around the mid-1970s on all tail types and were the defining feature of Ben Apia's Stinger.
 They later appeared as double or even triple flyers- see MP's Fangtail.
