NOTES
BOARD HISTORY DESIGN HISTORY The rounded pintail template was used universally throughout the1970's. In the late 1970s, the design was most identified with South African professional surfer, Shaun Thomson, who was seen as representing the Single Fin Coalition against the evil Axis of the Twin Fin and it's leader, Mark Richards. This foray into mass production, initiated by Simon's brother David, was designed for the younger surfer while the durability and low price appealed to their parents. |
